FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
We know that we are all focused on the health of ourselves, our loved ones, and our communities, and with 20 weeks until MBIA International Pageant Week, we wanted to provide an update to our international community and partners regarding our plans in light of coronavirus/COVID-19.
Our first priority will always be the safety and well-being of our Contestants, Staff, Families and Supports -and everyone who contributes to making MBIA an incredible experience. We are closely monitoring the unfolding developments and updated information from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), public health agencies and our partners.
Based on the latest information, including increasing public health interventions and measures being implemented domestically and internationally, and the considerable amount of time to assess and respond to developments between now and July/August. The MBIA Board of Directors and Executive Core Staff, feels it’s the best interest health wise and financially for our contestants and families to postpone our International Pageant Week. A new date for International Pageant Week has has been selected and more information can be found under International Week 2021- we suggest subscribing to our newsletter via our website to stay in the loop. We are still actively accepting applications for Teen, Miss, Ms. and Mrs. delegates as well as interviewing for State, Regional and Country Directors. Apply for FREE. We love our Contestants and Directors and we want them to not stress about competing, traveling or financially being able to afford a pageant during a time of uncertainty. We are staying positive and our contestants will continue to receive virtual trainings, live online empowerment sessions and more. If you have any questions please contact us. Please be well.
